January is a time to reflect on your vision and set goals for the year ahead, both professionally and personally. Sometimes, the best way to spark new ideas and refocus is to immerse yourself in innovation—and there’s no better place for that than Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. Organized by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), CES attracts approximately 140,000 attendees from around the world, serving as a hub for cutting-edge innovation. It’s incredible to walk through a space filled with real products that were once bold ideas, now brought to life—proof of what’s possible when you believe in your vision.
Unlike a public event, CES is trade-only, open exclusively to industry professionals, media, and exhibitors who meet specific criteria. CES is a whirlwind of groundbreaking technology and bold ideas, and while it’s impossible to see everything, I wanted to share a few standout products that caught my eye. Whether through my fascination with wearable tech, AI, or media—or simply because something resonated with me personally—this year’s show did not disappoint. I wanted to highlight a couple of trends.
AI is everywhere - From automotive and wearables to health and electronics, companies have doubled down on integrating AI across multiple categories, highlighting its role as a transformative force in our lives. You are seeing more focus on driving efficiency and increasing productivity. You also see focus on innovations that are more personalized for the end user.
AI-Powered Audio Innovation: will.i.am has partnered with LG to launch a set of Bluetooth audio devices - xBoom Bounce, Grab, Stage 301, and xBoom Buds. These speakers use advanced AI technology to analyze your music and automatically enhance key elements like vocals, melody, and rhythm for an optimized sound. Adding to the experience, the built-in lighting syncs with the music, creating a dynamic and colorful visual display. The speakers also leverage AI to recognize their surroundings, adjusting audio output to perfectly fill indoor or outdoor spaces for an unparalleled listening experience.
AI Golf Club: G-Grip is the world's first AI-powered intelligent golf clubs combine cutting-edge IoT sensors and AI technology to analyze grip pressure and swing dynamics in real-time. Designed to help golfers struggling with maintaining proper grip pressure and consistent swing paths, this innovation offers insights to improve performance. As a new golfer, I can personally see the value in this solution. Recognized for its breakthrough design and functionality, G-Grip was honored as a CES 2025 Innovation Awards winner in the Fitness and Sports categories.
AI Powered Houseplant care: LeafyPod is an innovative planter that ensures your plants thrive by notifying you when they need light or water. LeafyPod uses AI to understand your habits with plant care. It creates an optimal watering routine tailored to your plant's needs. The app will identify the type of plant and then make personalized recommendations to you specifically for that plant - more/less light, too cold, etc. I became a plant mom during the pandemic and quickly found myself surrounded by a growing collection of plants. LeafyPod is the perfect tool to help keep my plants thriving and alive.

Health and Wellness tech are still in the forefront -Digital health, smart home devices, and wellness solutions were front and center at CES. Companies are leveraging AI to transform wearable and device data into highly personalized insights. A standout example came from Samsung AI for All Exhibit, which highlighted an aspirational use case of AI, multiple devices (Smartwatch, Ring) and smart home technology (TV)—can elevate the telehealth experience, making it more connected and seamless than ever before.
Circular Ring 2: The Circular Ring 2 is a game-changer for making fitness tracking more accessible. As the first finger-based wearable to feature an ECG sensor and FDA-approved AFib detection, it sets a new standard for health monitoring. Most importantly, it’s subscription-free!
Withings Omnia Smart Mirror: Magic Mirror on the wall, who's the fairest (most healthy) one of all? Wow, we have come a long way from Snow White to today.
The Withings Omnia smart mirror is AI-powered, full-length, smart mirror that provides a comprehensive 360° health screening. Not only does it assess your vital health metrics, but it also visually highlights areas of concern. Equipped with features like ECG monitoring, it connects seamlessly to an app, allowing you to send real-time health updates directly to your doctor. Using an AI voice assistant, the Omnia can make recommendations based on this data.
Field Labs Compass Wearable is a small and lightweight device worn around the neck that, when paired with a companion app, can automatically transcribe audible conversations into text to read later. AI then summarizes discussions, generates reminders and lists, and may prompt user to ask follow-up questions about the captured notes. While busy professionals can benefit from this clever tool, it could be especially helpful for those struggling with memory problems, such as people with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia, since conversations are recorded and transcribed.
Smartglasses are sleeker and more stylish - Back when I worked on VR (virtual reality), smart glasses were more of a concept than a reality. Fast forward to today, and wearable technology has taken center stage. Everywhere I turned at CES, I spotted innovative and exciting wearables. I wanted to highlight a couple of standout brands I came across, showcasing a range of advancements from AR to AI.
Aura by Chamelo: Chamelo’s Prismatic Collection are the world’s first color-adjustable glasses. With a simple touch, user can touch the temple arm to change between different color hues and adapt their mood and style instantly. Aura was honored as a CES 2025 Innovation Awards honoree in fashion tech category.
XREAL One Pro AR Glasses: The XREAL One Pro AR glasses take augmented reality to the next level with a faster chipset, a larger field of view, enhanced brightness, and a lightweight, portable design—building on the foundation of their earlier version. These glasses allow you to stream movies on a virtual big screen, immerse yourself in gaming, or multitask with spatial displays, all while maintaining a sense of connection to the world around you. I was particularly impressed by the high-quality viewing experience that didn’t make me feel isolated, as can often happen with VR devices.
Halliday Smart Glasses- Halliday redefines wearable tech with a small built-in monochrome green display that projects information directly onto your eyeball, displaying everything from incoming messages to web search results. Halliday incorporates artificial intelligence to deliver real-time translation, document summaries, notification management, and AI chatbot functionality, all running from a connected smartphone.
CES 2025 was a great reminder of how bold ideas can turn into tangible realities that reshape our lives. As we step into a new year filled with possibilities, it’s clear that technology will continue to push boundaries and redefine how we connect, create, and thrive. Whether it’s AR glasses, AI-driven solutions, or digital health breakthroughs, the trends we’ve seen here are just the beginning.
I’d love to hear your thoughts—what innovation excites you most, and how do you see it shaping the future?
